The Galaxy Z Fold 8’s new shape isn’t really better for videos, and it makes me a little sad [Gallery]

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 is reportedly wider, but video playback still won’t feel much bigger than before.

Movies and YouTube clips remain limited by aspect ratio, with black bars still taking up much of the screen.

The redesign may reduce wasted space a little, but it doesn’t meaningfully solve the foldable’s media-viewing tradeoff.
