Google Pixel phones will probably let you ditch the search bar in Android 17 QPR1 [Video]

A leak suggests Android 17 QPR1 may add a Pixel Launcher setting to turn off the built-in search bar.

Disabling it would shift docked apps lower on the home screen, creating a cleaner layout.

The feature was spotted in a screen recording from a purported stable build, but it is not yet official.

If it ships later this year, it would give Pixel owners more control over home screen customization.
