Famitsu’s two-week Japanese charts put Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream at nearly 300,000 physical copies, overtaking Pokémon Pokopia as 2026’s top-selling release in Japan.

The result underscores strong demand for a major first-party Nintendo title, even against a high-profile Pokémon spin-off.

Nintendo Switch 2 also posted a strong Golden Week showing, with hardware sales topping 214,000 units.

The charts highlight continued momentum for Switch 2 in Japan, alongside solid performance from Mario Kart World and the Super Mario Galaxy bundle.
