KCC provides 35,000 TVs for people with visual and hearing impairments

The Broadcasting and Media Communications Commission is rolling out 35,000 customized 43-inch Full HD smart TVs for people with visual and hearing disabilities this year.

Applications opened on the 26th and will run for four weeks through the Korea Media Foundation and local township, town, and district offices.

Low-income households can receive the TVs for free, while other approved applicants will pay 100,000 won.

The program aims to improve TV accessibility and reduce the media information gap with features like voice guidance, closed captions, and sign-language support.
