Apple Taps Intel 18A-P For M7 Chip By 2027 & 14A For iPhone Chip By 2028, Claims Rumor

A rumor says Apple is in early talks for Intel to manufacture an M7 chip for Macs on Intel 18A-P, possibly by late 2027.

The same report claims an iPhone chip could later move to Intel 14A, with production targeted for late 2028.

The driver is said to be TSMC capacity constraints and pressure to expand U.S.-based chip manufacturing.

If accurate, the deal would diversify Apple’s supply chain and give Intel Foundry a major credibility boost.
