Google’s AI search is so broken it can ‘disregard’ what you’re looking for

Google says it is fixing a bug in AI Overviews that caused odd responses to action-word searches like “disregard,” “ignore,” and “skip.”

Instead of normal summaries, the feature sometimes returned inappropriate or missing results, resembling chatbot-style replies.

The glitch highlights reliability issues in Google Search’s AI layer and could erode user trust.

Google says a fix is coming soon.
