Microsoft Teams is removing Together mode, scenes, and custom scenes.

Microsoft says the features add complexity and cognitive load for users.

Gallery view will become the default meeting focus and can show up to 49 participants.

The company says the simpler layout should improve stability and quality for video meetings.
