AMD confirms Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 priced at $899

AMD confirmed the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 will launch at an MSRP of $899.

The chip is scheduled to arrive on April 22, after retailer listings briefly showed prices near $1,000.

AMD says it is the first dual-cache X3D CPU and has 208MB of total cache.

It is based on Zen 5, with 16 cores, 32 threads, a 200W TDP, and a 5.6GHz boost clock.

AMD says it supports DDR5, PCIe 5.0, and Precision Boost Overdrive 2, and ships in a monochrome Dual Edition box.
