Ferrari’s first EV is not for you

Ferrari unveiled Luce, its first electric vehicle: a five-seat, 1,000-horsepower model partly designed by Jony Ive’s LoveFrom.

The wedge-shaped styling drew heavy backlash online and from critics, with many calling the design a miss for Ferrari.

Ferrari says it expects the EV to be profitable and even wants it to be polarizing, helping preserve the brand’s exclusivity.

The company is targeting buyers who already own EVs, with China viewed as a key market amid broader pressure from EU emissions rules.
