'Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4' set for October release... first Switch 2 support with a North Korea invasion backdrop

Activision will release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 on October 23 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.

This is the first Call of Duty game to launch on a Nintendo console, marking a major platform shift for the franchise.

PS4 and Xbox One are being phased out, and Warzone support on those consoles will end when the new season begins.

Infinity Ward is developing the game for current-gen systems, with improved optimization and graphics options.
