Gemini Live redesign replaces fullscreen interface on Android

Google is testing a redesigned Gemini Live experience on Android through the Google app beta.

The new in-app layout replaces the fullscreen view with a live header, transcript access, and a pill-shaped control bar.

It also makes sharing, mute, and keyboard-exit controls easier to reach, while the overlay remains unchanged for now.

The update could improve usability and hint at broader Gemini UI changes ahead.
