Apple Retires iPhone Upgrade Program for Klarna-Backed Leases

Apple has launched Apple Upgrade in the U.S., a Klarna-backed leasing program for multiple Apple devices.

The plan covers iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Watch, with lower starting monthly payments; iPhone leases require a carrier plan.

At the end of the term, customers can return the device, buy it out, or upgrade to a new one.

Apple is phasing out its old iPhone Upgrade Program and iPhone Payments, while existing users can finish their current plans.
