Snowflake Buys Natoma To Govern The Agents Acting On Its Data

Snowflake plans to acquire Natoma, a startup building an enterprise gateway for Model Context Protocol (MCP).

Natoma will be integrated into Snowflake’s AI products to help manage agent permissions, monitoring, and policy enforcement.

The move extends Snowflake’s governance strategy from data access to AI agent actions across enterprise tools and systems.

Snowflake also reported strong quarterly revenue growth and announced a large AWS compute commitment.
