Escape From Tarkov is Losing a Veteran Developer

Escape From Tarkov lead game designer Jean Tyulegenov has left Battlestate Games after nine years.

Tyulegenov joined in 2017, rose to lead designer, and helped shape Tarkov through early access to its November 2025 1.0 release.

His exit comes amid other recent Battlestate departures, marking a notable leadership shift after the game’s full launch.

Battlestate is still moving forward with 2026 plans, including new post-launch content like the Icebreaker map.
