13 shots fired at Indianapolis councilman's home after he supported $500 million data center project

Indianapolis City-County Council member Ron Gibson says 13 bullets were fired at his home late at night.

A Ziploc-bagged note reading "No Data Centers" was tucked under his doormat.

Gibson woke around 12:45 a.m.; his eight-year-old son was at home; no injuries were reported.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department called the incident isolated and targeted; the FBI and Indiana Department of Homeland Security are assisting.

The shooting came days after a 6-2 rezoning approval for Metrobloks' planned 75MW data center campus on a 14-acre Martindale-Brightwood site that would span roughly 168,000 square feet and include 36 generators.
