Google Maps for CarPlay Getting Gemini AI

Code in Google Maps suggests Gemini support is being prepared for CarPlay.

If it launches, drivers could ask for AI-powered directions and local information through Maps.

The feature is not live yet, but Apple’s newer CarPlay support for third-party voice apps may help enable it soon.

The update would bring Google’s AI assistant into in-car navigation and expand voice-based mapping on the platform.
