WhatsApp working on Android notification bubble support instead of Facebook’s wonky ‘Chat Heads’

WhatsApp beta builds for Android now include early support for notification bubbles.

The feature would let chats open in a floating overlay, making it easier to switch between conversations without leaving other apps.

It is not available to users yet and appears to rely on Android’s native Bubble system.

If widely released, it could make WhatsApp chat management more convenient while fitting better with Android notifications.
