37,000-lb armored vehicles to boost US Marine Corps’ battle power, reconnaissance missions

The U.S. Marine Corps awarded Textron Systems a $450 million Pre-Production Development agreement for the ARV program.

The deal requires 16 Cottonmouth pre-production vehicles, three systems integration labs, and four blast hulls.

Cottonmouth will be delivered in three variants: C4UAS, 30mm, and LOG.

The vehicle family is designed to support the Marine Corps’ Expeditionary Advanced Base Operations framework.

After delivery, government-led testing will validate performance and verify program requirements.
