Costco sued for seeking refunds on tariffs customers paid

Plaintiffs filed a proposed class action accusing Costco of seeking refunds tied to tariffs customers paid.

The suit targets purchases from Feb 1, 2025 through Feb 24, 2026 for goods said to be subject to tariffs.

Costco previously said about a third of its sales are imported and acknowledged raising some product prices.

Plaintiffs seek refunds under consumer protection laws for amounts they say stem from tariffs imposed under IEEPA.
