Tokyu revives the "department store" brand name at Shibuya Hikarie and Hiyoshi

Tokyu is bringing the department store name back to the front at key locations starting June 11.

ShinQs at Shibuya Hikarie will become ShinQs by TOKYU DEPARTMENT STORE, and Hiyoshi Tokyu Avenue will be renamed Tokyu Department Store Hiyoshi.

The move reflects a push to refresh floor plans and strengthen local ties amid urban redevelopment and shifting demographics.

Tokyu also plans closer coordination with related retail areas such as Toyoko Noren-gai and Tokyu Foodshow.
