From Tsinghua Lab to Low-Altitude Market: Huaxi Aviation WorthyAero R1 Ultra-Light Personal eVTOL Weighs 115kg, Aims to Make Personal Flight Affordable

Huaxi Aviation unveiled the 115-kg WorthyAero R1, an ultra-light single-seat eVTOL aimed at affordable personal flight and low-altitude tourism.

The six-rotor amphibious aircraft features autonomous flight functions and has logged about 500 hours of testing.

The company says the R1 is in pre-production and is being positioned for broader commercialization in China and overseas markets.

The debut underscores China’s push to grow its low-altitude economy with lighter, lower-cost aircraft for tourism, recreation and rescue use.
