Almost the Entire Country Is Drowning in Cases of Explosive Diarrhea

U.S. cyclosporiasis cases jumped by about 2,500 in a week, topping 6,700 confirmed infections since May and more than 11,500 suspected cases.

No deaths have been reported, but hundreds of people have been hospitalized, and the CDC is still investigating the source.

Taylor Farms initially issued a voluntary recall after bagged shredded lettuce was linked to the outbreak, but the FDA later said that result was a false positive.

With cases spread across 45 states, the true size of the outbreak may be far larger than official counts, and the source remains unconfirmed.
