“AI can write code, but it can’t finish development”… AWS’s ‘AI-DLC’ solution

AWS unveiled AI-DLC, a new AI-led software development lifecycle, at a Seoul briefing along with the KIRO developer tool.

AI agents handle the full flow from planning to building to operations, while humans review and approve each stage.

AWS said many AI-adopting teams fall short not because of coding quality, but because of inefficiencies in the development process.

The company positions AI-DLC as a new standard to improve productivity, security, and traceability across enterprise software development.

AWS also shared adoption examples from LG Electronics, CJ Olive Young, Hyundai Marine & Fire, LG Uplus, and SK AX.
