AMD is reportedly prepping Zen 7 processors on 14A node to match Intel at its game

AMD is reportedly planning Zen 7 CPUs on TSMC’s A14 node, aiming for a 2028-era launch window.

The leak points to larger chiplets, possibly with up to 16-core CCDs and as much as 224 MB of L3 cache per CCD.

AMD may also use fan-out panel-level packaging, which could support the next wave of Ryzen chiplet designs.

If the report is accurate, Zen 7 would line up with Intel’s 14A rollout, setting up another major process-node rivalry.
