Following Apple shoutout, Perplexity elaborates on Mac-native ‘Personal Computer’ platform

Perplexity expanded on its Mac-native Personal Computer platform after Apple referenced it on its Q2 2026 earnings call.

The agentic system is designed to run continuously on Mac mini and other Macs, handling work across local files, apps, and cloud services.

Perplexity also added enterprise features, including Microsoft Teams support, a beta Excel integration, and repeat-task workflows.

New connectors for Snowflake and Databricks, plus a 1Password partnership, aim to make authenticated business actions more secure and automated.
