Vertical Aerospace completes world-first eVTOL two-way transition flight test

Vertical Aerospace completed a world-first piloted two-way transition flight with its full-scale Valo eVTOL.

The aircraft took off vertically, shifted to wing-borne cruise, and landed vertically in a single test under regulatory oversight.

The milestone follows an earlier one-way transition flight and brings the program closer to certification.

The company is targeting type certification and commercial readiness for 2028.
