Northern Lights Alert: 20 States May See Aurora On Saturday

NOAA issued a geomagnetic storm watch for April 4–5, warning of possible G1 to G2 conditions.

A coronal mass ejection on April 3 and a high-speed stream from a coronal hole are affecting Earth's magnetic field.

Aurora could appear low on the northern horizon in up to 10 northern U.S. states, and a G2 event could push visibility farther south.

A bright waning gibbous moon after midnight will reduce visibility for faint displays, so dark skies are advised.
