Apple releases iOS 26.5 beta: What's new this time

Apple has released the iOS 26.5 developer beta, and the build is mostly about small features and under-the-hood changes.

Apple Maps now includes a new Suggested Places area that could lay groundwork for future ads.

RCS messages regain end-to-end encryption between iPhone and Android, and pairing Magic accessories is easier.

The beta also includes StoreKit updates, EU-related accessory changes, and bug fixes, but the expected Gemini-powered Siri is still missing.
