GIGABYTE’s New AORUS AI BOXes with GeForce RTX 50 Series Change the Game for Local AI Enthusiasts

GIGABYTE introduced the AORUS RTX 5090 AI Box and AORUS RTX 5060 Ti AI Box, external GPU enclosures for Thunderbolt 5 PCs.

The flagship model pairs an RTX 5090 with 32GB of VRAM and liquid cooling for local AI workloads and larger models.

The lower-cost model offers 16GB of VRAM and a replaceable GPU board, making eGPU-based AI setups more accessible.

GIGABYTE also added the AI BOX GPU Selector to simplify routing AI apps to the external GPU.

With Thunderbolt 5 bandwidth and high-VRAM desktop cards, the lineup aims to deliver near-desktop local AI performance without a full workstation.
