Hidden IT problems are quietly creating risk, shadow IT, and lost productivity

TeamViewer’s global survey found many everyday tech problems go unreported, as employees often fix them themselves or bypass IT support.

Slow apps, login failures, and other glitches are quietly draining productivity, costing about 1.3 workdays per employee each month.

To get work done, many workers use personal devices or unauthorized tools, increasing shadow IT and security risk.

The findings suggest routine digital friction can hurt output, raise burnout and turnover risk, and create compliance problems.
