Artemis II launched four astronauts aboard Orion on a test flight toward the moon and has passed the halfway point of its journey.

Orion completed a translunar injection burn and is expected to loop around the moon on April 6 with a six-hour window to view the far side.

The crew reported and resolved minor technical problems including a Surface Pro and a toilet malfunction.

Undergraduate students using SDSS data identified an ancient star, SDSSJ0715-7334, and reported its low metal content in a Nature Astronomy paper.
