OpenAI is consulting a law firm while considering legal action against Apple, dissatisfied with subscriber growth and rising brand awareness

OpenAI is reportedly consulting outside lawyers about possible legal action over its Apple partnership.

Bloomberg says the 2024 deal has not delivered the subscriber growth or brand exposure OpenAI expected.

OpenAI is also frustrated that ChatGPT’s role in Apple Intelligence and Siri remains limited.

Apple reportedly had privacy concerns and may broaden AI support in future iOS releases, including iOS 27.
