"We will continue to make CRPGs because we love them," says OwlCat Games' senior lead despite new BioWare-style title

In a 10th-anniversary interview, Owlcat Games said it will keep making classic isometric CRPGs.

Creative director Alexander Mishulin said Pathfinder: Kingmaker and Wrath of the Righteous translated tabletop inspiration into ambitious RPGs.

He noted the studio has accepted big scope, even when it meant living with bugs, as part of its identity.

Owlcat is excited about the action RPG The Expanse: Osiris Reborn, but says it will not replace CRPG development.
