NASA launches Artemis II, its first crewed mission toward the Moon in decades

NASA launched Artemis II, a crewed test flight, from LC-39B on a Space Launch System rocket.

Four astronauts aboard Orion will perform proximity operations and validate life-support and flight systems.

The mission will travel farther than any human flight since Apollo before returning via a free-return trajectory to a Pacific splashdown.
