The First Post-Launch ‘Escape From Tarkov’ Wipe Arrives This Week

Battlestate Games says Escape From Tarkov’s 1.1.0.0 update lands this week, bringing the game’s first post-launch wipe-style reset.

Instead of forcing a global wipe, Tarkov is adding a season system: players who want a fresh start must create a new character, while others can keep their progress.

The patch also adds task and Kappa container changes, new weapons, hideout progression tweaks, and other quality-of-life improvements.

The shift moves Tarkov away from mandatory resets and could let more players reach late-game content, changing a long-standing core tradition.
