Apple is reportedly upgrading its own image models for Genmoji and Image Playground in iOS 27.

The changes should significantly improve visual quality, making Apple’s image tools more useful and competitive.

Apple also plans to expand Image Playground beyond ChatGPT to support more third-party AI image generators.
