Americans are using AI more, but fear of job losses is growing

A Quinnipiac survey of 1,397 adults found 30% fear their jobs could become obsolete due to AI.

Use of AI rose: 27% now say they never use AI, down from 33% in April 2025, and research use jumped 37%.

Seventy percent expect AI will reduce job opportunities and 76% rarely or only sometimes trust AI.

Fifteen percent would work for an AI boss while 51% oppose military use of AI for target selection.

Large majorities want more business transparency (75%) and government regulation (74%) on AI.
