Mobile number portability exceeds 600,000 for two consecutive months…SKT ranks first in net subscriber gains

Last month, mobile number portability in Korea reached 635,361 cases, topping 600,000 for a second straight month.

Among the three major carriers, SK Telecom posted the biggest gain with a net increase of 3,887 subscribers.

LG Uplus added 1,594 subscribers, while KT lost 3,586.

MVNOs also shed 1,895 subscribers.

Samsung promotions and fallout from KT’s data leak appear to have driven the churn, and competition may intensify further with Galaxy Z8 and new iPhone launches.
