Google Meet launches on Apple CarPlay before Android Auto

Google has added Google Meet support to Apple CarPlay, starting rollout on the 23rd of last month.

The company plans to finish distributing the CarPlay app to all users within two weeks.

Meet on CarPlay appears automatically on connected vehicle displays and offers an audio-only mode for safety.

Google has not disclosed specific timing for a Google Meet app on Android Auto.

The CarPlay release follows competitors like Zoom already being available on CarPlay.
