Samsung is set to run its DRAM factories at full speed, with a clear goal: keeping Apple from turning to Chinese rivals

Samsung will expand standard DRAM output at its Hwaseong facilities by about 15% by the end of 2026.

The added capacity will focus on DDR and mobile LPDDR chips to secure supply for Apple.

The move comes as AI-driven memory shortages give Apple more reason to consider alternative suppliers, including China’s CXMT.

Samsung is also streamlining production steps to improve manufacturing efficiency.
