Authors' lucky break in court may help class action over Meta torrenting

A judge allowed authors to add a contributory infringement claim to their class action against Meta.

Meta told the court it will cite the Supreme Court's Cox ruling to support dismissal of related torrenting claims.

Plaintiffs allege Meta seeded roughly 80 TB of pirated works and that its torrenting facilitated infringement.
