Huawei Turns the Only Escape Route Into a Grand Road: Tau Law Time-Scaling Surpasses Geometric Shrinkage as 381 Chips in 6 Years Redefine Semiconductor Survival

Huawei is promoting tau law as its core semiconductor strategy, with Ren Zhengfei endorsing it as the company’s main path forward.

The company says it has spent six years applying time-based, system-level redesign across devices, circuits, chips, and systems, resulting in 381 chip models.

Huawei highlighted upcoming and recent milestones, including LogicFolding in the 2026 Kirin chip, broader Kirin coverage, and strong Mate 80 sales.

It also pointed to the global launch of the Pura 90s, continued foldable-phone redesigns, and rapid growth in Ascend AI and cloud businesses.

The strategy is meant to offset limits in advanced chipmaking and help Huawei keep improving devices and AI hardware without top lithography tools.
