7-Eleven offers a 'cool share' way to beat the heat in stores as a measure against extreme heat

Seven-Eleven Japan will roll out a "cool share" effort at some stores, letting shoppers and local residents cool off inside during extreme heat.

Store managers will decide whether to participate, and posters will be displayed to promote the initiative.

The company is also pushing energy-saving measures alongside the heat-response program.

The move expands the role of convenience stores as a local shield against heatstroke and summer heat.
