Claude just took over the data center Grok needed most

SpaceX has agreed to lease the full Colossus 1 data center in Memphis to Anthropic.

The deal gives Claude access to more than 220,000 Nvidia GPUs and over 300 megawatts of power.

It helps Anthropic ease compute bottlenecks while turning an underused SpaceX asset into revenue.

The move also weakens xAI’s near-term infrastructure advantage as Grok faces tighter compute constraints.
