Sony Honda Mobility reassigns employees to parent companies amid business downsizing

Sony Honda Mobility has decided to sharply scale back its business.

With Honda’s revised electrification strategy undermining the project assumptions, the company had already halted EV development and launches, including AFEELA 1.

Employees will, in principle, be reassigned to the two parent companies and other related entities.

The move marks a major shift in the joint EV venture and could affect future collaboration on vehicle development and software.
