"Akahon AI" debuts to proofread entrance-exam essays with AI, offering feedback on improvements by photographing handwritten answers with a smartphone

World Shosetsusha Kyogakusha, the publisher behind the university entrance exam “Akahon” series, has launched the “Akahon AI Series” nationwide.

Built on the education-focused generative AI “School AI,” the series lets students photograph handwritten essays with a smartphone and upload them for analysis.

The AI scores answers from multiple perspectives and returns feedback on how to improve them.

The company says the tool can help students repeatedly refine essays, offering a new, more efficient way to prepare for entrance exams.
