Samsung’s base Galaxy S26 is popular, with a boost in production amid budget phone cuts

Samsung reportedly raised April Galaxy S26 production to 3 million units from 2.4 million, reflecting stronger-than-expected demand.

The base Galaxy S26 gets the biggest boost, with 500,000 more units, while the Galaxy S26 Ultra rises by 200,000.

Planned Galaxy S26+ output was cut by 100,000 units as Samsung rebalances the flagship mix.

At the same time, Samsung reduced planned production for the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A17, pointing to weaker budget-phone output.
