Meitetsu introduces new automatic ticket gates for the first time in 15 years

Nagoya Railroad will begin rolling out new ticket gates at Narumi Station and other stations over about three years.

The upgraded gates will keep IC card support while adding QR code reading for future QR ticketing.

The design and usability of the gates are also being refreshed, marking the first major renewal in 15 years.

The move aims to preserve convenient manaca use and expand future rail travel services.
