The Mandalorian and Grogu director used Apple Vision Pro to preview the film in IMAX

Jon Favreau said Disney built an Apple Vision Pro app that let him preview The Mandalorian and Grogu in IMAX aspect ratio during filming.

The setup allowed him to review shots on set as they would appear in theaters, not just on a standard monitor.

The example highlights how consumer mixed-reality hardware is starting to support high-end filmmaking workflows, especially IMAX-scale previsualization and shot planning.
