Sharp offers an affordable rental of its "Ice Slurry Refrigerator" that instantly freezes a PET bottle just by shaking it, for schools and others

Sharp will begin a lower-cost rental service on May 13 for its ice-slurry refrigerator, aimed at schools and student sports groups from kindergarten through university.

The service uses refurbished older models of the RJ-AS7P and RJ-AS7R, making the cooling device easier to adopt than the standard corporate rental plan.

By turning bottled drinks into ice slurry with a simple shake, the fridge is designed to help with heat-stress prevention during club activities and student athletics.
